Guidelines for Authors

Paper Format

Abstract Content
  • Abstracts must be written in English, with a maximum of 250 words.
  • Submission is through the conference portal in Microsoft Word format.
  • Each presenter can submit only one abstract.
  • Abstracts should be free of graphics or references and include up to five keywords.
  • Ensure the abstract is checked for spelling, grammar, and scientific accuracy before submission.
  • No amendments will be accepted after submission.
Once accepted
  • Presenters will be invited to submit a full paper.
  • Presenters are responsible for obtaining permissions and ensuring the originality of their work.
  • Co-authors must give consent to the content before submission.
  • Submitters will be notified about acceptance and publication possibilities in PLOS Mental Health, Pertanika, and other optional journals.

Notification of Full Paper Acceptance January 30, 2026
Camera-Ready Version Submission Deadline February 27, 2026
Deadline for Regular Registration and Payment (all participant categories) April 17, 2026

Review & Selection Process

The submitted abstracts will first undergo a preliminary review process. During abstract submission, authors will have the option to choose to present their work either as a poster or through an oral presentation at the conference. Submitters of relevant high-quality abstracts will be invited to submit full papers. The full manuscripts will then undergo an additional review process to evaluate the scope, originality, and methodology. Selected full papers will be submitted to PLOS Mental Health to be included in the Special Collection (subject to meeting the journal's requirements).

Collaboration Announcement

Asia Pacific Conference on Psychology and Counselling 2025 (APCPC2025) will be collaborating with the journal PLOS Mental Health with selected papers having the opportunity to be considered for publication as a special collection. Details regarding the submission process and criteria for consideration will follow in due course. "PLOS Mental Health is a global, multidisciplinary, Open Access journal that brings together research relevant to improving the mental health and well-being of all people around the world". PLOS Mental Health will consider submissions from all subdisciplines in psychology.
